Still one of of the most important paintings I have done… one of the first bigger oil paintings I made at the time, I really had no idea what I was doing, I had found a tiny black and white pic of my favorite snake in an article in reptiles magazine and decided try and paint it… I think th epic I had to work from was 2 inches tall and an inch or so wide… This one gave me confidence… I knew I had a reason to make more paintings after this… there have been so many after this… but this is a clear landmark for me as a beginner…
